Although cosmetic surgery is generally very successful, even “The Best Surgeon In The World” occasionally has patients who are bitterly disappointed with their treatment. It may be because of problems in three main areas and these are sometimes combined.

The counselling stage - the surgeon and patient did not communicate properly so the patient didn't get the result he or she was expecting.

During the operation - perhaps a medical problem caused the result to be poor. Or the standard of the surgery was simply not good enough. Surgeons are usually blamed if there are problems but there are many factors that can affect surgery which are not in the surgeon's control, however skilled and experienced he or she may be.

Afterwards - some sort of complication perhaps, or the patient is frustrated at the length of time it takes to recover or come to terms with the change in appearance.
